How we help

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a useful tool that is designed to address common challenges. CBT is based on the following principles: psychological problems are due to a combination of unhelpful ways of thinking and ineffective behaviors. Treatment using CBT often includes education about the condition/challenge you are facing, identifying strengths and areas for improvement in your current coping strategies and learning/practice specific techniques such as relaxation, stress management and cognitive challenging.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is a family-centered treatment for young children (typically ages 2-7) with disruptive behaviors, which strengthens the parent-child relationship through live coaching. Our clinicians will help coach parents through complex, difficult situations and work to shape the relationship you want to have with your child.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

MBSR is a revolutionary approach to changing your view, and your reaction to, distress and discomfort. By strengthening your attention and raising your awareness of your automatic-reactions, you can change your relationship with your mind and your body - increasing intentionality to your actions.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is an action-oriented approach that that utilizes mindfulness, acceptance and change strategies. Clients utilizing ACT learn to stop avoiding, denying or unnecessarily struggling with emotions and find better strategies to achieve a values-consistent life. Treatment using ACT typically focuses on clarifying your values, building curious awareness of the current moment and identifying/overcoming barriers to values-consistent growth and progress.

Problem-Focused Specialized Treatment

Our clinicians are also trained to deliver empirically-supported therapies for a wide range of diagnoses, including (but not limited to)…Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD

Family-Oriented Behavioral Therapy

The goal of Family-Oriented Behavioral Therapy is to activate change. This change will manifest in ways your child interacts with you and the way you interact with your child. This type of behavioral therapy is highly collaborative in nature and allows you to determine the specific goals and desired outcomes for you and your child.
