FAQs

  • We participate with most major insurance providers and will provide a quote for services prior to the start of testing. The price you pay will depend on a number of factors, including: your insurance coverage, the nature and complexity of the case and any follow-up/external collaboration that would be necessary.

    PGNE also provides payment-plan options.

  • The full assessment process takes roughly 4-6 weeks. During this time, our clinicians will perform interviews, administer tests, reach out for collateral information (pending your consent) and write a comprehensive report.

  • Research shows that we are at our best first thing in the morning. Our goal in providing an assessment is to give you as accurate a picture as possible while eliminating as many alternative explanations as possible.

  • Yes, we are able to provide documentation verifying your attendance.

  • If you have access to: IEPs, past assessments, samples of school work/writing samples, past report cards or performance evaluations, doctors notes, etc - please bring them (or transmit them electronically to our clinic). This process is largely about looking for patterns - the more information we have the better we can identify that pattern.

  • At the end of the assessment, your clinician will hold a feedback appointment. This is a collaborative appointment in which the clinician will provide insight into the results of the tests. The clinician and the client will then discuss recommendations based on the findings of the assessment.

    You will also receive a printed copy of your assessment for your records. PGNE will keep an electronic copy of your assessment on file for seven years. We are also able to fax the report upon your request.
